Every so often a vehicle hits the sweet spot — big enough to be useful, small enough to be easy, and priced where real people can actually afford it. For a lot of our Bloomington neighbors, that vehicle is the 2026 Chevy Trailblazer.

Here’s what you’re getting.

The Trailblazer slots in just above the Trax in Chevy’s lineup, and it starts around $23,300. What that extra bit of money buys you is flexibility — most notably, available all-wheel drive. For anyone who’s white-knuckled it through an Indiana ice storm or driven the back roads of Monroe County in February, AWD is worth its weight in gold. The Trax doesn’t offer it; the Trailblazer does.

You’ve got a choice of two turbocharged engines. The standard 1.2-liter turbo makes 137 horsepower, and stepping up to the 1.3-liter turbo on the ACTIV and RS trims bumps you to 155 horsepower and a bit more torque for confident merging and passing. With the 1.3-liter and front-wheel drive, the Trailblazer earns an EPA-estimated 31 mpg combined — impressive numbers for a vehicle this practical.

Inside, every Trailblazer comes standard with an 11-inch HD touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Chevy Safety Assist — automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane keep assist, and more, all included at no extra charge. Fold the rear seats and you’ll find more than 54 cubic feet of cargo room, which is plenty for road trips, home projects, or hauling the dog to the vet.

The Trailblazer comes in four trims — LS, LT, ACTIV, and RS. The ACTIV is the go-anywhere look with a more rugged front end, and the RS adds sporty styling touches for folks who want a little edge. Both can be equipped with all-wheel drive.

What we like most about the Trailblazer is how well-rounded it is. It’s not trying to be the biggest or the flashiest. It just quietly does everything a busy household needs — commuting, hauling, weekend adventures — and does it efficiently, safely, and with a warranty behind it.

If you’re cross-shopping small SUVs, this is one you owe it to yourself to drive. Stop by and we’ll match you with the trim and drivetrain that fit your life.
