Standard Dealership Fees
Document Fee
- $240
This fee covers the cost of preparing and processing all required paperwork related to your vehicle purchase, including compliance documentation and transaction records.
Indiana Title Fee
- $15
This is a state-required fee for processing your vehicle title through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. The dealership does not keep this fee - it is passed through to the BMV on your behalf. This fee is listed on our purchase agreements as "Indiana Title Fee" and on our finance contracts as "Paid to Public Officials"
- Applies to all Indiana purchases
- This is the same fee you would pay directly at the BMV
New Vehicle Title Application Fee
- $1.25
This additional state fee applies to all new vehicle purchases, regardless of the state where the vehicle will be registered. The dealership does not keep this fee - it is passed through to the Indiana Department of Revenue on your behalf. This fee is listed on our purchase agreements as "Indiana Tire Fee" and on our finance contracts as "Paid to Public Officials"
Fees We Do NOT Charge
Convenience Fee
- $0
Most dealerships in Indiana charge a convenience or processing fee for handling title work.
We do not.
While Indiana allows dealers to charge this type of fee, we include title processing as part of our standard service at no additional cost beyond the required state fees.
What These Fees Cover
Our fees ensure that your transaction is handled correctly and in compliance with Indiana law:

- Secure handling of transaction records
What Is NOT Included in These Fees
The fees listed above do not include:
- Sales tax (see our Indiana Vehicle Sales Tax page)
- Registration or license plate fees
- Any applicable county or local taxes paid at the BMV
