Chevy makes three small-to-compact SUVs that cover just about every need and budget: the Trax, the Trailblazer, and the Equinox. They’re all sharp, all efficient, and all a great value — which is exactly why people sometimes walk in unsure which one is right for them. Let’s make it simple.

Think of them as small, medium, and just-right.

The Trax is your entry point. Starting around $21,700, it’s the most affordable of the three and one of the best new-SUV values on the market, period. It’s front-wheel drive only, gets an EPA-estimated 31 mpg on the highway, and comes loaded with an 11-inch screen and standard safety tech. Choose the Trax if you want the lowest price, great fuel economy, and mostly drive on pavement.

The Trailblazer is the flexible middle child. Starting around $23,300, it adds the one thing the Trax can’t offer: available all-wheel drive. It also gives you an available 1.3-liter turbo with 155 horsepower on higher trims. It’s still efficient — up to 31 mpg combined — and still affordable, but it’s ready for gravel roads, steep driveways, and Indiana winters. Choose the Trailblazer if you want AWD and a little more capability without jumping up in size.

The Equinox is the roomy one. Starting around $28,800, it’s the biggest and most refined of the trio, with a fully redesigned look, an 11.3-inch touchscreen, a 175-horsepower turbo, and available all-wheel drive. It seats five with more cargo room and available comforts like heated seats. Choose the Equinox if you want maximum space, the most tech, and room for a growing family.

Here’s the quick cheat sheet. Smallest budget and city driving? Trax. Want all-wheel drive in a compact, efficient package? Trailblazer. Need the most room and the nicest cabin? Equinox. There’s no wrong answer here — just the right one for your life.

And the best part is you don’t have to figure it out alone. Come see all three side by side at Curry Auto Center. Sit in them, drive them, and we’ll help you find the one that fits — no pressure, no games, just good advice from folks who’ve been doing this in Bloomington since 1915.
